About partners

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) as the lead partner will ensure objective scientific approach, accumulation and distribution of up to date know-how and involve the civil society. MRU has extensive experience in leading international projects, e.g. through its Social Innovations Laboratory Network.

University of Oslo (Norway) is the expertise partner. The University of Oslo has participated in the EU's framework programmes for research and development since 1991. It is the Norwegian university with the largest EU portfolio. Due to its large experience, this partner will contribute to the successful implementation of the project results by sharing its multi-dimensional scientific expertise, guiding and contributing to the comparative research, advising on research methodology, ensuring the link between academia, judiciary and society.

Supreme Court of Lithuania – the project partner is indispensable for the successful implementation of the project due to its role ensuring the smooth presentation and promotion of the project ideas to the Lithuanian judiciary. Many judges of the Supreme Court of Lithuania are/ were members of various self-governmental institutions of courts such as the Examination Commission of Candidates to Judicial Office, the Selection Commission of Candidates to Judicial Office, The Permanent Commission for the Assessment of Activities of Judges and Judicial Council.

Supreme Court of Albania (Albania). This partner is indispensable for the successful implementation of the project due to its role ensuring the smooth presentation and promotion of the project ideas to the Albanian judiciary, showing the good example and willingness to participate in the pilot study, promoting new evaluation tools, facilitating the discussion about the project aims, progress and results.

Metropolitan University Prague (Czech Republic) – is indispensable for the successful implementation of the project due to its role ensuring the smooth presentation and promotion of the project ideas to the Czech society and judiciary. Some professors are also judges, willing to show the good example, participate in the pilot studies and also encourage the colleagues. This partner will ensure the link between academia and Judiciary.
